Dr. Gregg Takashi Chan is committed to treating every patient as an individual and providing the very highest quality treatment to each and every one of his patients.
Dr. Chan grew up in the Seattle area and attended University of Washington, where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology. He attended and graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 2011. During his time in dental school, Dr. Chan participated in numerous humanitarian trips to Honduras where he helped provide free dental care to underserved communities, and was a recipient of various awards, including the USC John Ingle Award for outstanding achievement in research, as well as the Dental Foundation of California’s scholarship for accomplishments in academic and clinical performance. After dental school, Dr. Chan moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he was a managing dentist in a private office. There, Dr. Chan worked with underserved communities and families to provide the highest quality of dental care to both children and adults.
Dr. Chan moved back to California in 2012 and opened his own dental practice in Torrance, California. Dr. Chan prides himself in using the latest technology and evidence based dentistry in order to enhance his patients’ care. He is a proud member of many dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Western Los Angeles Dental Society. As part of his commitment to helping underserved communities , Dr. Chan does community work here in California through Give Kids A Smile, USC Mobile Clinic, and other organizations that he teams up with through his practice. Dr. Chan was recently appointed Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dental Public Health and Pediatric Dentistry at The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC.
Dr. Chan is dedicated to helping his patients and cares deeply about the well being of every person he treats. When not in his office, Dr. Chan enjoys sporting events, outdoor activities and spending time with friends, family and his rescue dog Maddie.
